About the Role
The Paper Packaging Company (TPPC) is a pioneering force in the sustainable packaging industry, dedicated to revolutionizing food and beverage packaging since 2014. We are currently seeking a dedicated Production Accountant to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in Lagos. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing financial activities tied directly to our manufacturing operations, helping us preserve our planet while driving corporate profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records and prepare timely reports on production-related transactions.
- Track and analyze production costs including materials, labor, and overhead per SKU to support accurate margin and pricing decisions.
- Support cash flow planning and monitor working capital tied directly to production and inventory cycles.
- Ensure all production-related financial activities strictly comply with Nigerian tax and statutory requirements.
- Contribute to comprehensive production budgets and rigorously track actual performance against the plan.
- Uphold robust internal controls around inventory, expenses, and cost recording to safeguard company assets.
- Provide actionable financial insights and business advisory to production and management teams to improve overall cost efficiency.
- Maintain accurate and well-integrated financial data across accounting and production systems.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification such as ACA or ACCA is an advantage.
- Proven proficiency in accounting software and advanced spreadsheet tools with exceptional attention to detail.
- Prior working experience in manufacturing, packaging, or industrial sectors is highly beneficial.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory reconciliation, and internal audit processes.
