About the Role
Spiro is the largest electric vehicle company in Africa, pioneering sustainable e-mobility solutions across multiple nations including Nigeria, Kenya, and Benin. We are transforming urban mobility by providing innovative, eco-friendly, and affordable electric transportation that reduces carbon emissions and empowers local communities. We are currently seeking a dynamic Product Manager - Station Ops and Swap UX to own and scale our battery-swapping infrastructure, ensuring seamless user experiences for our riders and operational efficiency for our station agents.
Key Responsibilities- Set product strategy and narrative by publishing station and swap visions, PRDs, PR/FAQs, and metrics-first roadmaps tied to swap volume, speed, and battery availability.
- Lead end-to-end delivery with engineering, design, data, and station operations teams, scaling solutions from single-station pilots to network-wide rollouts.
- Operate the swap network like a critical utility by publishing KPI sets, owning swap and availability SLAs, driving root-cause analyses (RCAs), and institutionalizing reliability.
- Conduct rigorous on-the-ground research by spending peak hours at stations with riders and agents, translating frontline insights into superior UX flows and training standards.
- Hands-on product management experience building operations-heavy products for frontline teams at scale within mobility, logistics, retail, or fintech.
- Strong UX instincts for designing high-volume, time-pressured user flows, minimizing friction points, handling failure states, and testing in real-world conditions.
- Proven ability to work with complex operational data, including queueing theory, capacity planning, and demand forecasting.
- Demonstrated experience building products for emerging markets, navigating infrastructure challenges, multi-country operations, and diverse payment integrations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives that align cross-functional engineering, finance, and country leadership.
- Prior experience in Nigeria, electric vehicles, or battery-swaping ecosystems is a strong advantage.
