About the Role
FMR Agency is seeking a proactive and resourceful Procurement Officer to support the dynamic procurement operations of our fast-paced supermarket business. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing quality products, negotiating competitive pricing, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities- Source and procure a wide range of products required for daily supermarket operations.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate favorable terms with reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure the timely delivery of all purchased goods.
- Collaborate with the inventory team to prevent stock shortages and overstocking.
- Conduct regular market surveys across Lagos to identify pricing trends and cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare accurate purchase orders, verify deliveries, and ensure strict compliance with company policies.
- Minimum of an OND in Business Administration, Purchasing and Supply, Logistics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of proven experience as a Procurement Officer within a supermarket or retail environment.
- Extensive knowledge of the Lagos market and established supplier networks.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Willingness to reside in the provided shared staff accommodation.
