About the Role
Micdee Designs Limited is shaping the future of built environments through innovative, sustainable design and build solutions. We are currently seeking a commercially aware, proactive Procurement Officer with proven experience in the interior fit-out or design and build industry to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing high-quality materials, furniture, fittings, and equipment required for seamless project execution.
Key Responsibilities- Source and procure construction materials, interior finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment in line with approved project specifications.
- Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers, manufacturers, vendors, and subcontractors within the industry.
- Obtain and analyse quotations, negotiate competitive prices, and recommend suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, and the Design team to understand procurement requirements and prevent delays.
- Prepare purchase requisitions, track purchase orders, and coordinate the inspection of delivered materials to confirm compliance.
- Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities, alternative materials, and emerging industry trends.
- Monitor procurement expenditure against approved budgets and prepare periodic reports on order status and supplier performance.
- BSc or HND in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Purchasing and Supply, or a related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant procurement experience, specifically within the interior fit-out or design and build industry.
- Practical knowledge of interior finishes, building materials, joinery, lighting, and sanitary fittings.
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, cost-analysis, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant procurement or inventory management tools.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and strong attention to detail.
