About the Role
Egbin Power Plc, located in Lagos, is the largest thermal power generating station in Sub-Saharan Africa, committed to bridging Nigeria's electricity deficit through reliable power generation. We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Procurement Officer to join our high-performing supply chain team. In this role, you will ensure the timely, cost-effective sourcing of critical tools, spare parts, equipment, and operational materials across our plant while leveraging digital procurement solutions and market intelligence to drive sustainable value creation.
Key Responsibilities- Estimate and establish cost parameters, budgets, and procurement lead times for major equipment and service supplies.
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships while reviewing supplier options to secure the best pricing and contracts.
- Issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs), prepare technical and financial comparison sheets, and inspect incoming goods for quality compliance.
- Verify and approve incoming invoices for equipment and services, ensuring alignment with agreed-upon contractual terms.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to prevent stockouts of mechanical and non-mechanical plant materials.
- Ensure strict adherence to company data protection policies, NDPR compliance, and Integrated Management System standards (ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical Maintenance, Instrumentation and Control Engineering) or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in technical procurement, supply chain, or engineering roles.
- Proficiency in digital procurement tools and data analytics platforms such as Microsoft Power BI and advanced Excel.
