About the Role
Sunbeth Global Concepts (SGC) is a reputable trading firm specializing in the export of premium quality raw cocoa beans and cashew from Nigeria. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Procurement Officer to join our growing team in Kano or Sagamu. In this role, you will play a vital part in our agricultural supply chain by driving field procurement, engaging key suppliers, and delivering actionable market intelligence to support our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Source agro-commodities including cashew, soybeans, sesame, maize, and shea nut from farmers, aggregators, and suppliers strictly within approved price bands and quality specifications.
- Build and maintain productive working relationships with suppliers, buying agents, and aggregators to ensure a reliable commodity pipeline.
- Collect, analyze, and report daily market price trends, competitor activities, and commodity availability within the assigned location.
- Coordinate loading schedules, transporter logistics, and warehouse teams to guarantee seamless and timely delivery of purchased goods.
- Liaise closely with the Quality Control team to facilitate prompt inspection, grading, and acceptance of all purchased commodities.
- Track contracted volumes against actual deliveries, promptly escalating shortfalls or delays to the Procurement Supervisor.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive daily procurement reports covering purchases, pricing, and market observations.
- HND or B.Sc. degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of proven experience in commodity procurement, supplier management, and agricultural value chains.
- Familiarity with local agro-commodity grading practices and market dynamics.
- Direct prior experience working within Kano or Sagamu will be a distinct advantage.
- Relevant professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management are an added plus.
