Dragnet Solutions is looking for a qualified and experienced Principal Nursing Officer (Out-Patient/A&E) to join our esteemed healthcare operations in Nigeria. In this vital role, you will provide advanced nursing care, offer senior clinical guidance, and ensure the highest standards of patient safety and clinical governance within our out-patient and emergency departments.

Key Responsibilities

As a Principal Nursing Officer, your day-to-day duties will encompass a wide range of critical healthcare and leadership tasks, including:

  • Providing advanced nursing care and serving as a senior clinical resource within the out-patient and A&E streams.
  • Supervising, mentoring, and supporting junior nursing staff and trainees to foster professional growth and excellence.
  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive patient-centered nursing care.
  • Administering medications and treatments accurately while strictly adhering to safety scopes of practice.
  • Maintaining accurate, complete, and timely patient records while upholding rigorous infection-prevention standards.
  • Acting as a senior escalation point for triage decisions and same-day clinical evaluations from consulting rooms.
  • Coordinating specialized injection, dressing, and minor-procedure clinics efficiently.
Qualifications

  • Possess a Registered Nurse (RN) qualification from an accredited institution or a Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc/BSc Nursing) from a recognized university.
  • Completed mandatory internship and NYSC requirements, or hold a valid exemption letter.
  • Minimum of 5 years of post-registration nursing experience with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
  • Active NMCN registration/licence and verified MCPDP compliance.
  • Proven background working effectively within multidisciplinary hospital teams.
