Dragnet Solutions is seeking a dedicated and experienced Principal Nursing Officer (In-Patient) to join our esteemed healthcare operations in Kaduna. In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional 24-hour ward-based nursing care, offer senior clinical guidance, and actively supervise junior nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adherence to international healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced nursing care and serve as a senior clinical resource within the in-patient stream.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support junior nursing staff, interns, and trainees.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive nursing care plans for all assigned patients.
  • Administer medications and therapeutic treatments accurately within the approved scope of practice.
  • Maintain precise, complete, and timely patient records while upholding strict infection-prevention and clinical-governance standards.
  • Oversee shift handovers, admission procedures, and discharge planning to ensure seamless patient transitions.
  • Act as the primary senior resource for managing deteriorating patients and navigating complex ward-based care decisions.
Qualifications
  • Possess a valid Registered Nurse (RN) qualification from an accredited institution or a Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc/BSc Nursing) from a recognized university.
  • Hold a current, valid NMCN registration/licence with proof of MCPDP compliance.
  • Minimum of 5 years of post-registration nursing experience in an in-patient or comparable hospital setting.
  • Successful completion of NYSC or possession of a valid exemption certificate (for degree holders).
  • Demonstrated expertise in patient safety protocols, clinical governance, and multidisciplinary hospital collaboration.
