About the Role
Fadac Resources is looking for a visionary Principal Engineer, MEP Automation to join our team in Nigeria. In this critical senior leadership role, you will bridge automation, mechatronics, and infrastructure engineering to guarantee operational excellence and scalability across industrial, logistics, and agro-processing parks.
Key Responsibilities- Define and lead the engineering strategy for utility systems and automation across all industrial parks, aligning 5-year roadmaps with business expansion plans.
- Design electrical distribution systems, compressed air networks, and industrial water systems while overseeing mechatronic system integrations.
- Manage multi-million dollar utility infrastructure projects from design through procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Lead and mentor multi-disciplinary teams of 10-25 engineers and technicians across mechanical, electrical, and automation disciplines.
- Engage with OEMs, contractors, and internal stakeholders to negotiate service agreements and establish consistent multi-site engineering standards.
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is a strong advantage.
- 10+ years of proven experience in industrial utility systems engineering.
- 5+ years of demonstrated success leading engineering teams and managing major capital projects.
- Deep technical knowledge in power systems, process utilities, and mechatronics including PLC/SCADA platforms.
- Proficiency with engineering tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, and Primavera P6.
