About the Role

The Federal University of Allied Health Sciences, Enugu (FUAHSE) is a newly established, dynamic institution dedicated to transforming healthcare education and manpower output in Nigeria. Following our transition from a monotechnic to a comprehensive university, we are rapidly expanding our capacity to train innovative and skilled health professionals. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Principal Community Health Technician to join our vibrant academic and healthcare community, playing a crucial role in supporting our clinical training, community outreach programs, and health service delivery objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate community health technician activities within university health facilities and designated rural outreach programs.
  • Provide comprehensive primary healthcare services, preventive health education, and maternal-child health support to patients and community members.
  • Assist academic and clinical staff in practical training, demonstrations, and skill development sessions for allied health students.
  • Maintain accurate health records, compile epidemiological reports, and ensure adherence to national health standards and protocols.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to design, implement, and evaluate community-based health intervention projects.
  • Ensure the proper handling, maintenance, and safety compliance of medical equipment and community health laboratory tools.
  • Perform other clinical and administrative duties assigned by the university management to support institutional growth and healthcare delivery.
Qualifications
  • Must possess the relevant academic and professional qualifications, including a recognized diploma or higher national diploma in Community Health.
  • Valid practicing license from the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN).
  • Demonstrated professional experience in community health practice, public health initiatives, or clinical supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, integrity, and organizational competencies.
  • Commitment to the core educational and healthcare objectives of the Federal University of Allied Health Sciences, Enugu.
