About the Role
Desire British Standard School, a reputable Montessori institution located in Oghara, Delta State, is seeking a sound, dedicated, and experienced Primary School Teacher to join our academic team. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the foundational knowledge and character of students in Primary 3, 4, and 5, ensuring a stimulating and supportive learning environment that aligns with British and Nigerian educational standards.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons for Primary 3, 4, andကလေး pupils in accordance with the curriculum.
- Manage classroom behavior proactively to create a positive, safe, and conducive atmosphere for learning.
- Assess, monitor, and record students' academic progress and personal development, providing constructive feedback to pupils and parents.
- Utilize diverse teaching methodologies to cater to different learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
- Participate in school activities, staff meetings, and professional development programs organized by the school management.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assignments, and termly examination results.
- Minimum of NCE, B.Ed, or a relevant educational qualification from a recognized institution.
- Good working knowledge of the Nigerian primary school curriculum, with familiarity with Montessori methods being an advantage.
- Demonstrated teaching experience in a primary school setting will be a significant added advantage.
- Excellent classroom management, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be hardworking, patient, highly responsible, and deeply committed to the academic and moral development of pupils.
