About the Role
WTS Energy is looking for a skilled Power Station Operator for our client's industrial field location in Ibigwe, Ohaji-Egbema, Imo State. Candidates residing in Port Harcourt, Owerri, or surrounding areas are preferred for this exciting opportunity.
Key Responsibilities- Operate diesel and gas generators, manage valves, and handle circuit breakers.
- Monitor and log hourly production readings, fuel consumption, and system parameters.
- Implement preventive maintenance and coordinate scheduled services with vendors.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, performing corrective maintenance as needed.
- Maintain accurate shift logs, digitize records, and submit regular operational reports.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
- BSc or OND in Electrical, Mechanical, Control Systems, or Chemical/Process Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in power plant operations or industrial power distribution.
- Hands-on expertise with gas and diesel generators, gas conditioning, and low/medium voltage panels.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems, CAT, Perkins, or MTU generators, and 11kV/33kV distribution.
