About the Role
Graceland International School, a prestigious private co-educational institution located in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Physics Teacher to join our dynamic academic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping students' scientific minds, fostering critical thinking, and preparing them for academic excellence in both national and international examinations.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, well-structured, and comprehensive Physics lessons to secondary school students in alignment with the school curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and individualized support to improve academic performance.
- Design and supervise practical laboratory experiments to enhance students' hands-on understanding of physical concepts.
- Maintain a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and inquiry.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the science department to develop curriculum materials and plan extracurricular academic activities.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavioral development.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven Physics teaching experience obtained post-NYSC in a recognized educational institution.
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in using educational technology and virtual learning tools.
- Exemplary moral background, integrity, and a God-fearing disposition aligned with the school's core values.
- Willingness to relocate to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, if not currently resident.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to connect effectively with adolescents.
- Relevant degree in Physics, Education, or a closely related field.
