Cedarville School, a premier mixed Christian nursery, primary, and secondary institution located within a serene estate in Akobo, Ibadan, Oyo State, is looking for a passionate and qualified Physical & Health Education / Home Economics Teacher. Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging Physical & Health Education and Home Economics lessons in alignment with the approved curriculum.
- Promote physical fitness, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyle choices among students of various age groups.
- Teach practical life skills, nutrition, textile, and home management concepts effectively.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate academic records.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom and gymnasium environment conducive to learning.
- Participate in school sports events, extracurricular activities, and community programs.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support the holistic development of every child.
- Possession of a relevant Bachelor's degree, NCE, or equivalent professional qualification in Physical & Health Education, Home Economics, or Education.
- Proven teaching experience in a recognized primary or secondary school setting.
- Strong passion for child development within a Christian educational environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to inspire students and encourage active participation in practical subjects.
- Residency in or willingness to relocate to Ibadan (Akobo and environs is an added advantage).
