About the Role
The Nigerian Navy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Pharmacy Technician to support our medical operations. In this role, you will work within naval medical facilities to ensure the safe and efficient dispensing of pharmaceutical products, contributing directly to the health and operational readiness of our personnel. You will operate under the esteemed vision and mission of the Nigerian Navy, maintaining the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct.
Key Responsibilities- Dispense medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist or medical officer.
- Maintain proper inventory control, storage, and stock rotation of pharmaceutical supplies and equipment.
- Provide clear instructions and guidance to patients on the correct usage and dosage of prescribed medications.
- Prepare extemporaneous mixtures, ointments, and other pharmaceutical preparations as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all drug disbursements and inventory levels.
- Adhere strictly to safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards within the hospital pharmacy.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Minimum of Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Lower Credit or a recognized professional qualification in Pharmacy Technology or a related field.
- Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent with at least 5 credits, including English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Health Science, and Mathematics.
