We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our vibrant Pharmacy Department. In this role, you will play a vital supporting part in ensuring the smooth daily operations of our pharmacy, assisting qualified pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and delivering compassionate, high-quality care to our patients within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed pharmacists in dispensing medications, compounding preparations, and packaging prescriptions accurately.
  • Manage pharmaceutical inventory, monitor stock levels, check for expired medications, and assist with regular stock audits.
  • Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming pharmaceutical supplies and medical consumables in compliance with hospital standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the pharmacy department.
  • Greet patients warmly, manage prescription drop-offs and pickups, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain accurate digital and physical records of pharmaceutical transactions and patient information while ensuring data privacy.
  • Collaborate effectively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a qualification in biological sciences, community health extension worker (CHEW), or a related healthcare field.
  • Relevant work experience in a hospital or community pharmacy setting will be an added advantage.
  • Must possess valid registration and practicing licenses with the appropriate professional regulatory body where applicable.
  • Demonstrated ICT compliance and proficiency in using hospital management software or basic office tools.
  • Exhibit high levels of integrity, professionalism, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
