About the Role
The African Medical Centre of Excellence (AMCE) Abuja, a premier 500-bed specialty hospital developed by Afreximbank in clinical partnership with King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, is seeking a skilled PET Radiographer. In this vital role, you will operate advanced PET/CT imaging technology to provide exceptional diagnostic services, supporting our mission to deliver world-class oncology, cardiovascular, and haematological care across the African continent.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality PET and PET/CT scans safely following established clinical protocols and regulatory guidelines.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals accurately while strictly adhering to aseptic techniques and radiation safety measures.
- Conduct daily quality control tests on imaging equipment and maintain meticulous patient records in PACS.
- Collaborate closely with Nuclear Medicine Physicians, Medical Physicists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Ensure strict adherence to ALARA principles and Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission (NAEC) safety regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Radiography, Medical Imaging, or a recognized equivalent field.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification clinical experience, with hands-on expertise in PET/CT or Nuclear Medicine systems.
- Valid professional practicing license and a strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and radiation physics.
- Postgraduate certification in Nuclear Medicine or PET/CT imaging is highly desirable.
