About the Role
Amo Farm Sieberer Hatchery Limited is a market leader in the agricultural sector, dedicated to delivering exceptional quality products and services that guarantee profitable farming across Nigeria. We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Pastoralist Support Representative to strengthen our relationship with pastoralist communities, providing vital frontline extension services, livestock support, and resources that enhance productivity and income at the grassroots level.
Key Responsibilities- Engage directly with pastoralist farmers to build trust, maintain strong relationships, and serve as the primary point of contact for community inquiries.
- Support livestock and buy-back operations by identifying and preparing animals, conducting preliminary quality checks, and monitoring animal health.
- Promote company feed and fodder sales, gather demand data, and educate farmers on optimal nutrition and livestock utilisation techniques.
- Mobilise pastoralist households for training sessions, delivering basic instruction on animal care, disease prevention, and modern husbandry practices.
- Maintain accurate field records, manage conflict resolution proactively, and submit comprehensive weekly activity reports to the Area FSR.
- HND or B.Sc. in Animal Health, Agricultural Extension, or a related agricultural discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of proven experience in livestock extension services, rural development, or community engagement.
- Demonstrated experience working effectively with rural, traditional, or nomadic communities.
- Fluency in local languages, specifically Hausa and/or Fulfulde, is strictly required.
- Strong interpersonal skills, cultural awareness, patience, and the ability to work independently in remote areas.
