About the Role
Dangote Group is seeking a skilled Packing Plant Maintenance Specialist to join our dynamic team at Dangote Cement Plc. In this vital role, you will support the Head of Packing Plant to oversee maintenance operations, ensuring the seamless packing and timely loading of cement while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all maintenance activities at the packing plant are carried out efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Supervise machine operators to guarantee personnel safety and optimal machine utilization.
- Oversee the implementation of approved packing plant operational plans to meet daily production targets.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality Control, and Assurance teams before initiating cement packing and loading.
- Resolve all mechanical and technical maintenance issues immediately to prevent dispatch delays and material losses.
- Provide strong leadership, guidance, and mentorship to subordinate shift teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
- Relevant postgraduate or professional engineering qualifications will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience, with at least 5 years operating at a supervisory level within a heavy manufacturing or cement production environment.
- In-depth technical knowledge of cement packing machines, best practices, and plant operations.
