About the Role
Malaria Consortium is seeking a dedicated Workshop Assistant to join our Abia team for a short-term assignment supporting the 2026 ITN Mass Campaign. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth execution of our microplanning workshops and data validation sessions, contributing directly to our mission of reducing malaria morbidity and mortality across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the meeting venue remains clean, tidy, and hygienic by reporting on duty by 7:00 AM daily.
- Facilitate the smooth logistical movement and distribution of meeting materials to and from the venue.
- Manage participant registration by ensuring accurate completion of physical attendance sheets.
- Compile, verify, and type participant attendance lists and banking details into electronic templates using MS Excel.
- Coordinate with food vendors and hotel management regarding daily attendee numbers and strict feeding schedules.
- Provide IT equipment setup and operational support throughout the meeting sessions while capturing clear event photographs.
- Return all meeting assets, equipment, and final documentation safely to the Malaria Consortium office upon completion.
Qualifications
- Minimum of an SSCE qualification.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency, specifically with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- At least one year of professional experience in a similar administrative, logistical, or workshop support role.
- Strong numeracy skills with excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
