Key Responsibilities- Dispense and fit spectacles and other optical products accurately in accordance with valid prescriptions.
- Assist patients in selecting suitable frames, lenses, and optical accessories tailored to their lifestyle and needs.
- Take precise facial and optical measurements to ensure proper fitting and adjustment of eyewear.
- Provide patients with comprehensive guidance on the correct use, care, and maintenance of their eyewear.
- Perform minor repairs, maintenance, and adjustments to spectacles where required.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, inventory logs, and optical dispensing records.
- Monitor and manage stock levels of frames, lenses, and other optical supplies to prevent shortages.
- Collaborate effectively with Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
- Ensure strict compliance with hospital policies, professional standards, and infection prevention protocols.
- Possess a Degree, HND, or relevant professional qualification in Dispensing Opticianry or a related field.
- Must hold a valid professional registration and practice license where applicable in Nigeria.
- Proven previous experience working in a reputable hospital, eye clinic, or specialized optical practice is a distinct advantage.
- Comprehensive knowledge of optical lenses, frames, measurement techniques, and precision fitting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills with a strong patient-first mindset.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and proficiency in basic computer applications.
