Eye Foundation Hospital, Nigeria's premier indigenous specialist eye care institution established in 1993, is seeking a dedicated and ambitious medical professional to join our team as an Ophthalmic Resident. Over the past three decades, we have remained at the forefront of ophthalmology in West Africa, offering cutting-edge surgical facilities and comprehensive sub-specialized care. As a resident with us, you will receive rigorous, structured clinical training designed to shape you into an expert ophthalmologist committed to clinical excellence and compassionate patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Undergo intensive structured training in accordance with the West African College of Surgeons (WACS) and National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN) Ophthalmology curricula.
- Participate actively in out-patient clinics, surgical procedures, and emergency eye care services under the supervision of experienced consultants.
- Engage in continuous professional development, clinical audits, and medical research initiatives.
- Provide empathetic, high-quality care to patients and support families throughout their treatment journey at our ultra-modern facility.
- Possess a recognized Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited Nigerian university or an international medical college recognized by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Successful completion of either the West African or National primaries in Ophthalmology.
- Must possess a valid NYSC discharge certificate or exemption letter.
- Demonstrated passion for ophthalmology and a strong commitment to eradicating preventable blindness.
