About the Role
ABNL Limited, a leading indigenous oil and gas servicing company in Nigeria, is seeking a diligent and safety-conscious Field Operator I to join our expanding operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating equipment and wells in strict compliance with safety, health, environment, and security standards to ensure optimal production and resource efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Implement daily work objectives while maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety.
- Participate actively in daily toolbox meetings and safety discussions.
- Monitor wells and equipment continuously to identify optimization opportunities and ensure reliable operational conditions.
- Perform routine maintenance activities as an Equipment Care Technician and coordinate preventive maintenance plans.
- Log all operational events, abnormal situations, and equipment deviations accurately in the shift log book.
- Take product samples for laboratory testing and conduct basic field lab evaluations.
- Provide detailed shift handover information to guarantee operational continuity.
- Assist with emergency response activities and report incidents according to company guidelines.
- Support well intervention operations by maintaining wellhead equipment and diagnosing well problems thoroughly.
- Completed secondary education with previous relevant experience as a Field Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Exceptional aptitude for Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols.
- Solid understanding of pipeline operations, safety management tools, and emergency preparedness procedures.
