We are currently looking for a talented Operations and Maintenance Technician - Electrical to join our dynamic team in Nigeria, playing a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our power plant assets.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all plant-related operations and maintenance activities during the assigned shift, ensuring safety and compliance.
- Troubleshoot 4-stroke engines effectively with a strong focus on electrical systems and equipment.
- Operate and maintain engine auxiliary systems, utilizing electrical measuring equipment accurately.
- Perform trending and analysis of operational parameters while monitoring engine and auxiliary performance.
- Execute planned and unplanned maintenance activities, reporting resource utilization and job scope expansion.
- Start, synchronize, and protect local and remote engines, providing immediate solutions during operational flaws.
- Implement routine preventive maintenance checks, including vibration and temperature inspections on rotating equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements, technical bulletins, and updated maintenance procedures using tools like Maximo.
- Relevant degree or certification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience in operations and maintenance within power plants, marine environments, or heavy industrial settings.
- Strong working knowledge of diesel engines, 4-stroke engines, and associated electrical auxiliary systems.
- Proficiency in using electrical measuring equipment and computerized maintenance management tools such as Maximo.
