About the Role
DHL, the leading global logistics company, is currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Agent to join our dynamic team at the Los Hub in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the seamless processing of international shipments, maintaining accurate data, and upholding our commitment to connecting people and improving lives across more than 220 countries worldwide.
Key Responsibilities- Perform complete processing of shipments and associated documentation in strict compliance with company network standards and Global S.O.P.
- Recover and scan shipments efficiently, ensuring timely processing to meet strict flight closures and departures.
- Accurately allocate shipments to correct destination bags with proper tagging to completely prevent mis-routes.
- Ensure that complete WPX transmissions and pre-alerts are promptly sent to transit and final destinations to facilitate faster customs clearance.
- Handle special-handling shipments, transfer them to appropriate sections, and report any damaged, unidentified, or missing items via incident reports.
- Load materials onto ULDs correctly and net them securely in accordance with strict international aviation standards.
- Strictly comply with DHL security policies, health and safety standards, and environmental guidelines at all times.
- Hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) in any relevant field or its recognized equivalent.
- Possess a good working knowledge of the DHL network environment alongside a valid driver's license and driving proficiency.
- Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail with strong data entry and documentation accuracy.
