About the Role
Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC, a leading full-service financial services group in Nigeria, is looking for a dedicated and proactive Officer, Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing to join our dynamic cybersecurity team. In this role, you will play a critical part in safeguarding our robust financial infrastructure against evolving cyber threats by proactively identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities across our networks, applications, and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough penetration tests on systems, networks, and applications using automated tools and manual techniques to uncover security weaknesses.
- Plan and execute red team exercises to rigorously test the organization's detection and response mechanisms against simulated advanced persistent threats.
- Perform comprehensive vulnerability assessments, analyze results, and provide actionable remediation strategies to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop detailed technical reports highlighting findings, potential business impacts, and clear recommendations for security enhancements.
- Collaborate with IT and software development teams to debug and fix software vulnerabilities while promoting secure coding practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity focusing on VAPT, red teaming, vulnerability management, and endpoint security.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CEH, OSCP, GCIH, or equivalent are a strong advantage.
- Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, switches, routers, Windows/Linux operating systems, and cloud computing environments.
- Proficiency with industry-standard security tools such as Nessus, Burp Suite, Metasploit, and OWASP ZAP.
