About the Role
Solina Centre for International Development and Research (SCIDaR) is an indigenous institution dedicated to transforming health and human development in Nigeria and across Africa. We are looking for a sharp, driven NYSC Finance Intern to join our dynamic team and gain hands-on experience in financial administration, reporting, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Finance Team with daily data entry, general ledger postings, and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare payment schedules, track failed transactions for reprocessing, and assist with monthly invoicing and billing.
- Assist in managing internal and external audit reviews and ensuring seamless implementation of recommendations.
- Ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions including PAYE, Withholding Tax, VAT, Pension, NHF, and NSITF.
- Perform basic analytical procedures on key financial statement captions to support the finance unit.
- A First-Class Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fields from a reputable university.
- Must have been deployed to camp or be scheduled for deployment under the NYSC programme at the time of application.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- High proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools and a strong willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
