About the Role
The Katsina State Hospitals Services Management Board is looking for a dedicated and experienced Nursing Officer I to join our healthcare team. In this senior nursing role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care, administering treatments, and mentoring junior nursing staff across our various general hospitals and specialized clinics in Katsina State. Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive, direct patient care and specialized nursing services across hospital departments.
- Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and prescribed medical treatments accurately.
- Monitor patient vital signs, track clinical progress, and report critical changes to physicians promptly.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, post-treatment care, and preventive health measures.
- Supervise junior nursing staff, coordinate shift duties, and ensure adherence to hospital policies and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Current practicing license.
- Mandatory NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
- Minimum of 2 years of active clinical nursing experience in a recognized healthcare facility.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
