About the Role
Emerald Schools, established in 1995 with a proud legacy of academic excellence in Lagos, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Teacher to join our esteemed early childhood education team. In this role, the selected candidate will provide high-quality care and stimulating early education, actively fostering the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of our youngest learners in a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging daily lessons and learning activities tailored to nursery-age children.
- Provide a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and active learning.
- Monitor and record students' progress, assessing developmental milestones and communicating effectively with parents.
- Manage classroom behavior positively and foster strong social and emotional skills among children.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and school administration to execute the standard early years curriculum.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children under your care at all times.
- Minimum of a NCE, Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
- Proven professional experience working as a nursery or early years teacher in a reputable school.
- Strong passion for child development and early childhood education best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patience-driven teaching skills.
- Ability to create engaging teaching aids and utilize modern interactive learning techniques.
