About the Role
Kids' Court School, established in 2009, is a prestigious, family-oriented institution dedicated to delivering first-class international education to nursery and primary school children in Lagos, Nigeria. We are currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Nursery School Teacher to support our lead educators in fostering a dynamic, safe, and engaging learning environment. In this role, you will play a vital part in shaping young minds, ensuring that pupils achieve the highest possible standards of academic work and personal conduct in alignment with our core vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the head class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and managing daily classroom activities.
- Utilize working knowledge of the Montessori curriculum and interactive teaching methods.
- Prepare learning aids, including writing, craft, demonstration, experiment, and Montessori materials.
- Maintain a neat, organized, and stimulating classroom environment while ensuring the safety of pupils and their belongings.
- Receive pupils, collect homework, and accurately record daily class attendance.
- Provide targeted individualized and group support to pupils and teach the class in the absence of the primary teacher.
- Monitor class activities, mark assignments, and communicate student progress effectively to the lead teacher.
- Reconcile minor conflicts among pupils and manage behavioral issues according to school policies.
- Possession of relevant academic qualifications and proven experience in early childhood education.
- Familiarity with Montessori teaching methods and international early years curricula.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
