About the Role
Aster Bloom Academy is a prestigious private educational institution located in the serene Government Reserved Area (GRA) of Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. Following our recent strategic rebranding from Chucklers Heights Montessori and our exciting expansion into secondary education at our newly developed permanent site, we are currently seeking a compassionate and competent Nurse to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and well-being of our students and staff, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and healthy learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide immediate first aid and medical care to students and staff in cases of illness, injury, or medical emergencies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students, tracking immunizations, allergies, and ongoing medical conditions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with professional medical standards and school policies.
- Conduct routine health screenings and promote health awareness, hygiene, and wellness programs across the school community.
- Liaise with parents, guardians, and local healthcare providers regarding student health concerns and emergency evacuations.
- Ensure the school clinic is fully stocked, clean, and compliant with relevant health and safety regulations.
- Must possess a valid Nursing qualification (RN, RM, or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Current practicing license and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of clinical or school nursing experience.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and empathetic patient-care skills.
- Ability to remain calm and decisive during medical emergencies.
- First aid certification and familiarity with pediatric care are distinct advantages.
