About the Role
Standard Specialist Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in Kano, Nigeria, is seeking a diligent and qualified Night Shift Pharmacy Technician to join our 24/7 medical team. In this vital role, you will ensure patients receive accurate and timely medication during night hours, maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities- Dispense prescribed medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist during night shifts.
- Prepare, package, and label medications with strict attention to detail.
- Receive, store, and organize pharmaceutical supplies while maintaining proper inventory and stock records.
- Ensure full compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and national pharmaceutical regulations.
- Provide courteous, professional, and empathetic service to admitted patients, emergency visitors, and healthcare staff.
- Perform routine stock audits and other pharmacy-related duties as assigned by management.
- Possess an HND or OND in Science Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Must be a registered Pharmacy Technician with the appropriate regulatory authority in Nigeria.
- Must possess a valid and current practicing license.
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, maintain focus, and make sound decisions during night shifts.
- High level of integrity, strong attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and pharmacy management software.
