About the Role
Brila Media Limited, Nigeria's premier sports news and broadcasting organization founded by Dr. Larry Izamoje, is looking for a talented and vibrant Newscaster to join our remote team. In this role, you will be the voice of sports news, delivering accurate, timely, and compelling updates to millions of passionate sports fans via our traditional broadcasts and the innovative Brila audio-visual App.
Key Responsibilities- Research, write, and deliver engaging sports news bulletins clearly and professionally.
- Anchor live broadcasts and audio-visual news segments with confidence and authority.
- Conduct insightful live interviews with athletes, coaches, and key sports stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with producers, editors, and fellow anchors to curate top-tier sports content.
- Stay up-to-date with local and international sports events, trends, and breaking news.
- Manage remote broadcasting equipment and ensure seamless technical delivery during broadcasts.
- Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, English, or a related field.
- 2 to 3 years of proven professional experience as a newscaster, presenter, or broadcast journalist, preferably in sports.
- Exceptional oral communication, voice modulation, and public speaking skills in English.
- Strong editorial judgment and the ability to summarize complex sports stories quickly.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while meeting tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with digital audio-visual broadcasting tools and the Nigerian sports landscape.
