About the Role
mCore Systems is a leading Original Equipment Manufacturer telecom core network infrastructure vendor based in Lagos, Nigeria. We provide high-availability, carrier-grade telecom infrastructure designed to power next-generation mobile services across the African continent. We are currently seeking a dedicated Network Operations Specialist to join our dynamic 24/7 Network Operations Center team and ensure optimal performance and uptime of our production network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor production network infrastructure, core systems, and telecom services around the clock to ensure maximum uptime.
- Detect, troubleshoot, and resolve network anomalies, alarms, and outages efficiently within established Service Level Agreements.
- Coordinate with field engineers, vendors, and internal technical teams to escalate and resolve complex incidents.
- Perform routine network maintenance, software upgrades, and configuration changes following strict change management protocols.
- Document all operational incidents, root cause analyses, and shift handovers thoroughly in the ticketing system.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment within the telecommunications or ISP sector.
- Strong foundational knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, switching, and core telecom network architectures (GSM, LTE, 5G).
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools, log management systems, and enterprise ticketing platforms.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to thrive in a 24/7 shift-based environment.
