About the Role
Athena Institute of Business and Technology (AIBT) is building Africa's next generation of business, policy, and tech leaders through flexible, practical, and impact-driven learning. We are seeking a strategic and experienced Network Architect to design, implement, and optimize a secure, scalable, and high-performance network infrastructure that drives our organizational objectives across the region.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop robust enterprise network architectures supporting organizational growth and digital learning initiatives.
- Plan and optimize LAN, WAN, wireless networks, and data center infrastructures.
- Implement comprehensive network security measures, including firewalls, segmentation, and VPNs.
- Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure seamless cloud and on-premises integration.
- Lead complex infrastructure upgrades, disaster recovery planning, and troubleshooting activities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
- 5 to 8 years of relevant enterprise network engineering and architecture experience.
- Strong expertise in routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, TCP/IP) and cloud networking.
- Professional certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or relevant cloud architecture credentials are highly desirable.
