Our Lady & St. Francis Catholic College (OSCCO), Osogbo is a prestigious co-educational secondary school under the Catholic Diocese of Osogbo. We are currently seeking a passionate and talented Music Teacher to join our vibrant academic community in Isale Aro, Osogbo, Osun State. In this role, you will shape the musical talents of our students, fostering creativity, discipline, and a deep appreciation for the arts within a supportive, values-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and comprehensive music lessons aligned with the approved secondary school curriculum.
- Instruct students in vocal training, music theory, and proficiency in playing various musical instruments.
- Coordinate and direct school choirs, orchestras, and musical ensembles for school events, masses, and ceremonies.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their musical development.
- Maintain and manage school musical instruments and equipment in proper working condition.
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and artistic expression.
- Possession of a Bachelor's Degree or NCE in Music Education, Music, or a related field.
- Demonstrated proficiency in playing at least one major musical instrument (e.g., piano, guitar, violin).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to academic excellence, professionalism, and the moral values of the institution.
- Prior teaching experience in a reputable secondary school setting is an added advantage.
