About the Role
Achieving Health Nigeria Initiative (AHNi) is an indigenous non-profit affiliate organization of Family Health International (FHI 360), dedicated to improving public health and socio-economic development across Nigeria. We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to join our team as a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist for the Global Fund N-THRIP project in Anambra State. This consultancy role runs for an initial duration of 3 months with the possibility of extension based on performance.
Key Responsibilities- Support the implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of HIV program activities at assigned facilities, ensuring alignment with national guidelines and project objectives in the LGA.
- Ensure accurate data collection, collation, and reporting across platforms including NMRS, DHIS, and NDR, aiming for 100% reporting compliance.
- Conduct routine data verification, validation, and quality assurance exercises at various service points across supported facilities.
- Collaborate with the Strategic Information (SI) unit to facilitate effective data analysis and evidence-based decision-making.
- Prepare comprehensive program reports, highlight success stories, and address operational challenges to improve health outcomes.
- Liaise with IT officers for the preventive maintenance of M&E computing resources and promptly resolve system errors.
- Collaborate with program and technical staff to ensure proper implementation and use of M&E tools in adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech), Bachelor of Science (B. Sc), or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Statistics, Mathematics, Pharmacy, Microbiology, or a related field.
- 1 to 3 years of professional experience in designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation systems for global health initiatives.
- Familiarity with Global Fund reporting systems is a distinct advantage.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and multi-disciplinary team-building skills.
- Proficiency in key computing applications such as the MS Office Suite and working knowledge of databases like DHIS or NMRS.
