About the Role

Action Against Hunger Nigeria is a leading global humanitarian organization committed to ending world hunger and saving the lives of malnourished children. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Stock Officer (Pharmacist) to join our team in Katsina. In this vital role, you will ensure the efficient storage, control, and management of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals at our Base Pharmacy, while providing technical support to health programmes across supported centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the physical integrity and hygiene of the medical stock and pharmacy premises in strict compliance with Good Storage Practices.
  • Monitor temperature, humidity, and cold chain requirements twice daily to prevent product deterioration.
  • Record all stock movements accurately using stock cards and computerized inventory management tools.
  • Conduct regular physical inventories, manage expirations, and secure quarantined or damaged products.
  • Support the Logistics Department with the quantitative and qualitative reception of international pharmaceutical orders.
  • Provide technical assistance to program teams and partner health facilities on medical stock management and consumption monitoring.
  • Complete and submit timely monthly pharmacy reports and archive all essential supply chain documentation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy with active registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN).
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in pharmaceutical or medical stock management within hospital, NGO, or INGO settings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in Hausa is a strong advantage.
