Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients in family medicine under appropriate supervision, escalating complex cases as necessary.
  • Participate actively in clinics, ward rounds, on-call rotas, and medical procedures while contributing to quality-improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical records in strict compliance with internal policies and standards.
  • Ensure current valid registration and practicing licence with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, coordinating seamless patient care and supporting HMO and managed-care processes through evidence-based practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS or MBChB) from a recognized, accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of mandatory housemanship and National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), or possession of a valid exemption certificate.
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-NYSC clinical experience, including relevant practice at the Medical Officer level.
  • Demonstrated sound clinical knowledge in family medicine with excellent record-keeping abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication for interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Desirable: Additional certifications such as Advanced Life Support or relevant clinical skills training.
