About the Role

Dragnet Nigeria is looking for a dedicated and experienced Medical Officer II to join our healthcare team in Benin. In this role, you will provide comprehensive clinical care in family medicine, managing both out-patient and in-patient settings under appropriate supervision. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of our family medicine services while contributing to overall healthcare excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients in family medicine with decreasing levels of supervision, escalating complex cases appropriately.
  • Participate actively in clinics, ward rounds, on-call rotas, and medical procedures as required.
  • Contribute meaningfully to clinical audits and quality-improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical records and ensure current MDCN registration and license are upheld in line with internal policies.
  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, coordinating patient care and supporting HMO processes through evidence-based practice.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS or MBChB) from a recognised institution.
  • Successful completion of national housemanship/internship and NYSC, or holding a valid exemption certificate.
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-NYSC clinical experience, including relevant practice at Medical Officer grade.
  • Valid and current practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
  • Demonstrable clinical competence in family medicine with strong communication and record-keeping skills.
