About the Role

Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and optimise experimental protocols for stem cell isolation, culture, expansion, differentiation, and maintenance.
- Perform cellular reprogramming and apply advanced gene-editing technologies like CRISPR/Cas9 for functional studies.
- Monitor cell morphology, viability, and proliferation while maintaining rigorous contamination checks and compliance with GMP and FDA standards.
- Manage data collection, statistical analysis, and bioinformatics tools for omics data analysis, including RNA-seq and single-cell sequencing.
- Collaborate with clinicians, molecular biologists, and bioinformaticians on multidisciplinary research projects, grant applications, and peer-reviewed publications.
- Maintain laboratory stocks, ensure equipment functionality, and mentor junior staff, interns, and laboratory technicians.
- Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science (B.MLS/BMLS) from an accredited institution with current MLSCN licensure.
- Minimum of three (3) years of post-qualification experience in a stem cell processing, cellular therapy, bone marrow transplant, haematology, or regenerative medicine laboratory.
- Demonstrated expertise in stem cell collection, cryopreservation, flow cytometry, cell culture, and molecular biology techniques.
- Strong understanding of laboratory quality management systems, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and biosafety regulations.
