About the Role
Heritage Kidney and Medical Care (HKMC), a pioneering specialist healthcare institution renowned for advanced kidney care and transplantation services in Nigeria, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our professional team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering accurate diagnostic results that directly impact patient care outcomes within a modern and patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a wide range of laboratory tests including hematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, and serology with high precision.
- Ensure the proper collection, accurate labeling, and efficient processing of all patient biological samples.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on advanced laboratory equipment and automated analyzers.
- Review, validate, and release accurate diagnostic test results while strictly maintaining quality control standards and proper documentation.
- Adhere strictly to institutional laboratory safety protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and provide guidance and support to junior laboratory staff.
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Medical Laboratory Science or a recognized equivalent degree.
- Current practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
- Minimum of 1 year of verified post-NYSC clinical laboratory experience.
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of contemporary laboratory diagnostic procedures and equipment.
