Key Responsibilities- Perform a wide range of complex biological, microbiological, hematological, and chemical laboratory tests.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of patient samples to aid in clinical diagnosis and treatment.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
- Adhere strictly to quality control protocols, hospital policies, and health and safety regulations.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all test results and report findings accurately to attending physicians.
- Participate in continuous professional development programs, research activities, and departmental training sessions.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) degree from a recognized institution.
- Current and valid practicing license issued by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
- Successful completion of a mandatory one-year internship program in an accredited medical facility.
- Evidence of completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme or possession of an official exemption certificate.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in modern laboratory information systems.
