As a Medical Imaging/X-Ray Technician, you will play a crucial role in our medical services department, operating advanced diagnostic equipment to support clinical decision-making and patient care within naval medical facilities across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographs and medical imaging procedures as requested by medical officers.
- Ensure the optimal operation of X-Ray and imaging equipment through routine maintenance, calibration, and safety checks.
- Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety protocols, shielding patients and staff from unnecessary exposure.
- Accurately document patient records, image files, and department logs while maintaining strict medical confidentiality.
- Collaborate effectively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by providing clear instructions and addressing any concerns.
- Minimum of OND Lower Credit or a recognized professional qualification in Medical Imaging, Radiography, or a related field.
- Must possess SSCE or equivalent with five (5) credits, including English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Health Science, and Mathematics.
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced military healthcare environment.
- Must meet all Nigerian Navy enlistment health, fitness, and character standards.
