About the Role
Stockgap Fuels Limited is a leading private limited liability company in Nigeria specializing in the distribution of refined petroleum products and Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG). We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Officer to join our dynamic operations team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of all mechanical equipment across our plant, contributing directly to our mission of safe and efficient energy distribution.
Key Responsibilities- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance and rapid breakdown repairs on plant mechanical equipment including pumps, compressors, carousel fillers, valves, piping, and weighbridges.
- Perform comprehensive root-cause analysis on mechanical failures and support specialized valve maintenance on the cylinder filling line.
- Assist in statutory calibration and safety certification procedures for pressure vessels and pressure relief valves.
- Requisition required spare parts, maintain accurate equipment history logs, and strictly enforce Lockout Tagout and Permit-to-Work safety protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to identify operational improvements and minimize facility downtime.
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND (minimum 2nd Class Upper or Upper Credit) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of proven, hands-on mechanical maintenance experience within an oil and gas, LPG process facility, or heavy industrial plant.
- Strong technical knowledge of rotating and static equipment maintenance.
