About the Role
Wankai Innovative Materials Limited, a leading manufacturer in the polymer industry, is seeking dynamic and experienced Mechanical Engineers to join our growing operations in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the seamless production of high-quality bottle-grade and non-bottle-grade PET chips, resins, and specialized polyester materials by maintaining optimal mechanical efficiency across our manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the installation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical equipment used in PET resin and polymer production lines.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and enhance plant productivity.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, pneumatic systems, pumps, valves, and extrusion machinery promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with the production and electrical engineering teams to optimize manufacturing processes and equipment performance.
- Ensure strict adherence to company safety protocols, environmental standards, and occupational health guidelines.
- Maintain comprehensive maintenance logs, spare parts inventory, and engineering reports for management review.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience within a manufacturing, chemical, or heavy industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, hydraulics, pneumatics, and preventive maintenance management systems.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and analytical skills with a strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Registration with COREN or relevant professional engineering bodies is an added advantage.
