About the Role
Eeqraa International Model School is an esteemed Islamic-oriented private day school located in Mararaba, Karu Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, bordering the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. We are dedicated to providing a balanced and comprehensive educational experience that seamlessly integrates modern Western curricula with foundational Islamic values (Deen) for students ranging from early childhood to secondary levels. We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified Mathematics Teacher to inspire our students, foster critical thinking, and contribute to our academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective Mathematics lessons in accordance with the school's approved curriculum.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to effective learning and positive student behavior management.
- Assess, monitor, and record students' academic progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support to help them achieve their full potential.
- Design and grade homework assignments, quizzes, and examinations to evaluate student comprehension.
- Maintain accurate attendance and academic records in compliance with school administrative policies.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, school events, professional development workshops, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Inculcate moral and ethical values aligned with Islamic principles during classroom interactions and daily school activities.
- Minimum of an NCE, B.Ed., B.Sc., or B.A. in Mathematics or a related discipline.
- A Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) will be considered an added advantage.
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional classroom management abilities with the capacity to handle diverse learning styles.
