About the Role
Cutting-Edge International Academy, a premier private educational institution located in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, is seeking a passionate and qualified Mathematics Teacher. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping students' analytical skills, delivering exceptional instruction, and preparing learners for both internal and external examinations within a supportive and professional faith-based environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare comprehensive lesson notes and schemes of work prior to every instructional period and submit them weekly to the HOD for review.
- Deliver engaging, student-centred Mathematics lessons that foster deep understanding and critical thinking.
- Administer, mark, and accurately record Continuous Assessment (CA) scores within strict institutional deadlines.
- Identify struggling students proactively and provide targeted extra academic support to ensure their success.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development (CPD) training sessions, school clubs, and institutional programmes.
- Possession of a B.Ed, B.Sc, or BA with a PGDE, or another relevant recognized teaching qualification.
- Mandatory TRCN registration or a strong willingness to register immediately upon employment.
- Demonstrated subject mastery, classroom experience, and exceptional lesson planning, delivery, and assessment abilities.
- Minimum of 1 year of previous teaching experience and strong classroom management skills acting as a distinct advantage.
- Familiarity with the NERDC curriculum, WAEC, and NECO examinations.
- Proficiency in computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a strong command of the English language.
- Competitive monthly salary ranging from N50,000 to N75,000, determined by qualifications and experience, with guaranteed punctual payment at the end of every month.
