About the Role
Kaplo Africa is searching for a visionary and results-driven Managing Director to lead our asset management operations and drive strategic growth across the Nigerian financial sector. In this executive leadership role, you will shape the future of our investment portfolios, foster high-level stakeholder relationships, and serve as our SEC-sponsored individual to ensure total regulatory compliance and market expansion.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute the firm's long-term strategic vision, mission, and business expansion plans.
- Oversee asset allocation, investment strategies, portfolio performance, and comprehensive risk management.
- Ensure full adherence to Nigerian Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations and corporate governance standards.
- Drive client acquisition and retention by building robust relationships with institutional investors and key stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire senior management and investment teams to foster a culture of high performance and financial innovation.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field; MBA or Master's degree is strongly preferred.
- Must be a recognized SEC Sponsored Individual approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in asset management, investment banking, or financial services, with at least 5 years in an executive leadership role.
- Deep, practical knowledge of the Nigerian capital markets, macroeconomic environment, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, financial analysis, negotiation, and executive communication skills.
