About the Role
Dangote Group, Africa's leading industrial conglomerate, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Manager, Mechanical - Packing Plant to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all mechanical maintenance activities to ensure seamless packing plant operations, high equipment availability, and strict adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the development and articulation of the plant’s comprehensive maintenance plan.
- Oversee the effective and efficient execution of maintenance strategies within the packing plant unit.
- Plan for and order necessary packing plant machine spares in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Supervise engineers and technicians to guarantee minimum equipment downtime and meet production targets.
- Liaise with HSE personnel to ensure the provision of personal protective equipment and rigorous safety training.
- Ensure timely execution of routine and corrective maintenance on all packing plant machinery.
- Coordinate and manage a comprehensive database for all mechanical maintenance activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Head of the Packing Plant.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or its recognized equivalent.
- Relevant professional certifications will be considered an added advantage.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant industrial work experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Exceptional ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex industrial equipment with accuracy and speed.
- Strong leadership, supervisory, and team management capabilities.
